Houses here are a mix of the old and new, many homes are being upgraded and larger blocks being subdivided. It has its own shopping centre and primary school. There are several areas of parkland and the beach is great for families. The village shopping centre provides Marmion residents with most local services including a supermarket, dry cleaners, video store, travel agency and pharmacy to name but a few. Next door to the village is Marmion specialist and professional centre to cater for medical needs. For more serious shopping you have Whitfords City to the north and Karrinyup to the south; both just over 5 minutes away by car. The rail service to the city takes approx 15 minutes from Warwick station which has ample car parking or can be reached by the regular local bus service in under 10 minutes.

Marmion beach fronts part of the Marmion Marine Park which is great for snorkelling and scuba diving. The beach front also has a selection of cafes and restaurants and is a short drive from Hillarys Boat Harbour with its many specialist gift shops, cafes, restaurants, tavern, water slides and kiddies beach.
