Ashby is situated off Wanneroo Road, between the new suburbs of Tapping and Sinagra. 27km from the city and 5-10 minutes drive from Joondalup, Ashby is a popular brand new suburb.  Because it is so new it doesn’t have too much to offer amenity-wise at the moment. Most streets still have some building work in progress, but there is an area of completed parkland with a childrens play area. The streets to the front of the suburb are occupied by builders display homes, open at weekends.

Nearest shopping facilities are at Joondalup or Wanneroo. The closest beach is 15 minutes away at Burns Beach. The local public primary school is in Carramar (5 mins), or private (primary & high) school at St Stephens in Tapping (5 mins). The nearest public high school is Wanneroo (10 mins).
