To get a true comparison of house prices across all 260+ Perth Suburbs, we thought that we’d research real, up-to-date house prices for family homes across all the suburbs in Perth. Official figures simply show Median house prices – which doesn't actually tell you much (other than the middle price of ALL house sales). Our unofficial research shows you what you are currently more likely to pay... 

To keep the suburb comparison as accurate as possible, we found :

• The cheapest (available - not 'under offer') 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house in each suburb (lowest asking price)
• The % rise in the cheapest available 4x2 house in each suburb over the preceding 6 and 12 months

Where we couldn’t find prices for a 4x2 (four bedroom, 2 bathroom) we got prices for the nearest equivalent (4 bed 1 bathroom, or 4+ bed, 2+ bathroom) – these are colour-coded in the suburb browser pages.

The latest prices were gathered in October 2006 and reflect the available houses on the market at that time. Prices and availability of houses fluctuate all the time – so please use these prices as a rough guide only.
