The 100 Point System

NOTE: In the first six weeks after you first arrive in Perth, you'll be able to open an account with most banks using only your passport - as most banks recognise that you may not yet have additional documentation to pass the 100 point check.
Tip: Get your Australian driving license as soon as you arrive - you no longer need to pass a theory test if you come from some countries (e.g. UK). Your license and passport are enough ID to open an account after the 6 week initial period.
